Coursera: University of Amsterdam Joins as Coursera
Today we are thrilled to announce that The University of Amsterdam (UvA) will be joining Coursera as its 2nd Dutch university in addition to Leiden University. The University of Amsterdam is the third oldest university in the Netherlands and is one of Europe’s largest research institutions. With close to 33,000 students, it is the biggest university in the Netherlands by enrollment. The partnership will commence on September 4th, 2013. Leading the way will be Dr. Rutger de Graaf’s Introduction to Communication Science course. Dr. De Graaf is a professor in UvA’s Department of Communication Science, where he teaches courses in Intensive Communication Science, Ethics and Communication Theory & Consultancy. De Graaf is a leading expert of communication theory, history, and practical applications, and we are thrilled to help share his knowledge with the world by hosting his popular introductory course on Coursera.
