Udacity: New Lesson, Final Project & Lesson Notes in Hadoop and MapReduce
We released Intro to Hadoop and MapReduce with Cloudera in November 2013 as one of the first courses in our Data Science track. Since then, we’ve received a lot of great feedback from students, and we’ve upgraded the course accordingly! We’ve added an additional lesson to the course which focuses on the patterns of MapReduce and gives multiple opportunities to try out the concepts taught in lesson 3. We’ve also added a final project at the end of the course for students to demonstrate and assess their skills with Hadoop and MapReduce. The final project is centered around real discussion forum data from this class. Last, we’ve also added lesson notes, a written resource to go along with the video content of the course so that you may download or print and follow along with the course to enhance your learning as well as give you a good resource for review.
